A concert showcasing the vocal works of the greatest genius of the Baroque period, Johann Sebastian Bach. The quintessential German composer wrote both grand motets and an impressive number of cantatas.
This concert marks a return to its roots for the Mission Saint-Charles Choir, which was originally formed 39 years ago primarily to perform the famous composer's cantatas. The program includes Cantata BWV 55 for solo tenor, Cantata BWV 84 for soprano, and a series of motets for choir and continuo.
